Eric Swanson loves his daughter Anna, his three old
dogs, the New Mexico desert, and taking
pictures of unlikely subjects in the fading light. His
photography, which has been exclusively digital for
three years, is a celebration of the surprising pieces
of life: a broken rock, a child holding a snake, a
cactus, a jar of wild rose hips. He has lived in Santa Fe for eighteen years,
and with his vast range of work experience, easygoing
professional manner, and constantly evolving
creative approach, Eric has become one of the region’s most
respected and sought-after photographers.
Eric's photos have appeared in major
publications throughout the United States, Europe, and
Asia, including Travel + Leisure, People, Outside,
Burda Publications, Japanese Newsweek, Stereophile,
Business Week, and O, the Oprah Magazine.
In addition, he is co-creator of With a
Measure of Grace, the Story and Recipes of a Small
Town Restaurant, published by Provecho Press in 2004.
His stock photography is represented by Veer.
